Pearl white beaches, the azure bleu sea, and sunset landscapes: this is the eye-pleasing scenery that came to my mind when I first saw Negin Mirsalehi’s collection of phone cases with the Swedish brand iDealofSweden. I was lucky to receive one of these beautiful designs, as well as a wallet case. Today, I’d love to tell you more about it.
Negin Mirsalehi’s content and style is one to adore, so I was excited to hear that she has designed a collection of phone cases. The Dutch personal style blogger and founder of “Gisou” – honey infused hair care products -, was inspired by the Italian Riviera to design a collection that “celebrates la dolce vita” and “encapsulates Italian ease at its purest”. The collection consists of seven phone cases and two passport covers.
One case instantly caught my eye: the “laguna pearl”, a beige and white coloured case which design reminds of a shell. In combination with the golden plate that has the brand name on it, it looks very elegant and luxurious, and perfectly matches the neutral tones of my wardrobe.
Last week, I spent the weekend in Normandy with my dad’s family. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Etretat, a charming seaside village known for its famous chalk cliffs. The clear blue water and sky contrasting with the white cliffs provided the ideal setting to take some pictures of my “laguna pearl“.
Apart from the phone case, I also received one of iDealofSweden’s wallet cases: phone cases that have a chain strap attached to them so you can wear them like a purse – super convenient if you’re going to a party and you just need your phone, some cash money, and your ID. As for me, I can picture myself wearing this one on a night out in London, where I recently moved to (more about that in another blog post!). Again, I chose for a simple, minimalistic, yet luxurious design: their matte black “Kensington bag” with a golden chain. Like the phone case, this one will go well with my neutral toned outfits.
The pictures above are taken at “Mamasons”, a charming Filipino ice cream parlour based in Kentish Town. I stumbled upon this spot on my second day in London when looking for a place to have a coffee, and I’m definitely going to return here. What drew me to this place was its interior. The fairy lights against the window, the dusty pink velvet couch, and the jazz music playing in the background create a cosy environment. The most distinctive elements, however, are the cafe’s palm leaf wallpaper, various plants, and oriental wall tiles, which give rise to a tropical atmosphere.
Mamasons can be found at 91 Kentish Town Rd, London
